چکیده
We investigate a puzzle in the recent thermodynamics of scalar-tensor gravity, which general relativity is zero-temperature state equilibrium and gravity non-equilibrium configuration an effective dissipative fluid. A stealth solution Brans-Dicke with constant positive temperature shown to be analogous metastable for fluid suffer from instability. The stability analysis employs version Bardeen-Ellis-Bruni-Hwang gauge-invariant formalism cosmological perturbations adapted modified gravity. destroyed by tensor perturbations.

Scalar Tensor Theories and Hadamard State Condition
The Hadamard state condition is used to analyze the local constraints on the two-point function of a quantum field conformally coupled to a background geometry. Using these constraints we develop a scalar tensor theory which controls the coupling of the stresstensor induced by the two-point function of the quantum field to the conformal class of the background metric. It is then argued that the...

Using Landau’s theory of elementary excitations together with a simple model for the interactions between excitations, we calculate the thermodynamic properties of superfluid helium-4 at pressures below the saturated vapor pressure and above the normal freezing temperature. r 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. متن کاملInfrared Cloaking, Stealth, and the Second Law of Thermodynamics
Infrared signature management (IRSM) has been a primary aeronautical concern for over 50 years. Most strategies and technologies are limited by the second law of thermodynamics. In this article, IRSM is considered in light of theoretical developments over the last 15 years that have put the absolute status of the second law into doubt and that might open the door to a new class of broadband IR ...
متن کاملHyperextended scalar-tensor gravity.
We study a general Scalar-Tensor Theory with an arbitrary coupling funtion !( ) but also an arbitrary dependence of the gravitational constant G( ) in the cases in which either one of them, or both, do not admit an analytical inverse, as in the hyperextended in ationary scenario. We present the full set of eld equations and study their cosmological behavior. We show that different scalar-tensor...
